Wet Set Review

I mentioned Monday that I took part in a Vintage workshop focusing on hair and make-up. I did a wet set on my hair (which I generally do, but haven’t since my hair has been so short) and I thought it would fall out pretty quickly because of the length- but boy, was I wrong! I left it as is for 4 whole days, only putting the front few curls into a pin curl at night on nights 3 and 4, and brushing it all out again in the morning. I thought I’d show you pictures of each day, since I have had a lot of people ask how well they’ve held.

My hair looks awesome!

I decided to pin the front curls back to do more of a 30s style.

Relatively little change! The back curls have fallen a bit, but overall, it still has the same effect.

I could have probably gone a 5th day, but I washed my hair last night and reset them doing a slightly different pin curl pattern. The first one I set everything in one direction. This time I alternated between clockwise and counter-clockwise on each row. I will be sure to report back on how it turned out!

I now have a great way to style my hair while it’s in that awkward growing out phase! Yay! And it only takes 20 minutes (it goes quicker the more you do it) to do!

  1. What did you use for the set? Any product?
