A few months ago, my lovely friends, Peter and Melissa had an open house. Not quite your typical open house, since both of them work at the Historical Society here and are avid antique and vintage collectors. Their house is like stepping onto the Downton Abbey set. I wish I had taken more (and better!) photos of the evening since it was so much fun. The dress code was vintage and it was so much fun to see everyone pick a decade and go with it. Pete chose more of an early 30s, while Melissa was cute as a button in a late 40s yellow linen dress. I went WWII and Elizabeth chose a saucy 40s red number.
Here’s the photos from the night that a) weren’t completely blurry and b) showed some outfit goodness.
Elizabeth and I in our finery.
A fierce game of dominos rages..
Flapper realness.
Elizabeth made a new friend- Moses!
Checking out an antique viewfinder with the most amazing photos.
Seriously how cute is Moses?
Elizabeth, Melissa and I. I love these two gals so much!
I hope there’s another chance to photograph their stove (seriously, it’s amazing) and other awesome bits and pieces in their place! The three of us have met up for some outings since, and I will be posting those soon as well.
